The holiday season is here! A couple of days ago, I wasn’t excited but I felt differently after I went to buy new ornaments, turned on the Christmas music and decorated the tree.
Our tree is usually red, black and white…my favorite colors. But this year we decided to do something a little different and go colorful. The other reason we have different decor is because we did a bad job packing our storage and we couldn’t find all of our Christmas boxes (lol). So….In order to avoid spending a lot of money, I only bought enough to decorate half the tree 🙂
Have you all started decorating for the holiday season? Show me your Christmas decor on my Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/aarikamusic. I would love to see your photos!
I was talking on the phone to one of my girls as I was shopping in Trader Joes. She told me that I had to try their crab cakes. She is a great cook and if she recommends something, i can pretty much guarantee that it will be good.
I bought the crab cakes, they were very simple to make and tasted great. Our sides were broccoli and mushroom risotto. It was a tasty meal.
The Info: Crab cakes are packaged two cakes per pack and are located in the freezer section.
Where can you get the best Philly cheese steaks in Atlanta? At Woody’s. My husband and I recently tried Woody’s for the first time and the cheese steaks were delicious. It was a nice day, we sat on the patio and we got 50% off of our meal by using ScoutMob Woody’s has a very limited menu that consists of beef or chicken cheesesteaks, Italian sausage, hot dogs and ice cream. Check out this spot…it’s located on Monroe Drive just behind Piedmont Park.
I can officially add commencement speaker to my resume. A few weeks ago, I spoke at the 2012 graduation for Anointed Word Christian Academy. Their class of 2012 was actually one student and I had the honor and pleasure of mentoring her throughout her senior year. Thanks to the leadership and staff at the school for trusting me to work with Miss H. I am so proud of her.
I have been on the search for a new laptop bag for a while. After hearing lots of buzz about the Cambridge Satchel, I decided to do a little online research to see if this could really be the bag for me. I marinated on it for a while and then I took the leap and purchased my very own Cambridge Satchel…and I love it. It’s so red and pretty AND I get so many compliments on it. There are two things that slightly bug me: it doesn’t hold very much, but that forces me to be organized. Also, to close the satchel, you have to use buckles…no snaps or zippers. it kind of makes it hard to get in and out of the bag easily.
Other than those things, I love it!!!!
